These Terms of Service apply to the use of our website and to bookings for appraisal services. By accessing the site or using our services, you agree to these terms.

  1. About us
    com provides independent medical appraisal services for doctors practising in the UK or internationally. We are not affiliated with the General Medical Council or any statutory regulator, and no part of our service should be taken as representing, implying or substituting the authority of any regulatory body.
  2. Service description
    We provide appraisal meetings, document review and preparation of appraisal output summaries that align with the professional requirements expected of UK-practising doctors. The doctor remains solely responsible for engaging with the appraisal process, submitting accurate supporting information and meeting all regulatory revalidation requirements.
  3. Booking and cancellations
    As outlined in the booking confirmation and Terms and Conditions, a rescheduling fee of £50 applies if you fail to attend your meeting by 5 minutes, request to reschedule the meeting with less than 7 days notice, or fail to return the Pre-Appraisal Document 24 hours ahead of your scheduled appraisal.
  4. Responsibilities of the doctor
    Appraisees must:
    Submit the required pre-appraisal documentation within the requested timeframe.
    • Ensure no patient-identifiable data is included in any materials submitted.
    • Provide true and accurate information about their scope of work and professional activity                                                                                                                       • Maintain compliance with their regulatory body’s expectations, independent of the appraisal provider

• Understand that paying for an Appraisal service in no way ensures that their licence to practise will be maintained and that any licence to practise / revalidation decisions are the responsibility of the Designated Body to which the Appraisee is attached, or the GMC.

• Consent to allowing the Appraiser to contact the appropriate Responsible Officer, Designated Body, GMC or other suitable party when it is deemed necessary to by the Appraiser e.g. if there are any questions or concerns about a doctor’s practise.

• Be aware that the use of AI may be used to summarise meeting notes. Verbal consent will be gained ahead of any meeting.

  1. No affiliation with regulatory bodies
    Our company is an independent provider of appraisals. The appraisal service assists doctors in preparing evidence and reflection for their annual appraisal but does not replace or represent the statutory functions of any regulatory organisation.
  2. Fees and payment
    Fees are displayed on the website or in written communication. Invoices must be paid within the specified timeframe. Late payments may delay the release of appraisal documentation.
  3. Professional conduct and misuse
    We reserve the right to decline or withdraw services if conduct is inappropriate, unlawful, or compromises the integrity of the appraisal process.
  4. Intellectual property
    All content on the website, including templates and written materials, is the property of GMCAppraisals.com unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce or distribute our materials without written permission.
  5. Website use
    Users must not misuse the website, upload malicious code, attempt unauthorised access or engage in any activity that disrupts site functionality. Information on the site is provided for general guidance and may change without notice.
  6. Limitation of liability
    We are not liable for:
    Regulatory decisions, revalidation outcomes or employment consequences arising from a doctor’s submission to their RO, suitable person or the GMC.
    • Losses arising from incomplete, inaccurate or late submission of documentation by the doctor.
    • Indirect, consequential or business losses

• Our liability is limited to the cost of the appraisal service provided.

    The website may contain external links. We are not responsible for the content or security of third-party websites.
  2. Governing law
    These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
  3. Amendments
    We may update these terms periodically. Continued use of the website and services following such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
